Of course, if you base your opinion on the Diablo subreddit, its easy to get the impression that this would be HUGE, but even if every member of this subreddit bought it at 20$, thats only 4.5M of sale. While they all have their niche following, I dont see the huge popularity that would make Blizzard think there is a huge market for that. Just look at the already existing mods for D2. From everything I have seen or heard, that ROI is going to be much much worse than with their other remaster. Sure, Blizzard have the ressource to pull off very hard thing very quickly, but it all come down to if they think they'll make a Return On Investment.
